    Eligibility requirements for off-campus housing are (any of the following, or a combination):
      • 90 Credit Hours Completed
      • 22 Years of Age or Older
      • Living with Parents or Guardian
      • Married
      • Living with Approved OKWU Host Family
      • Doing an Internship (Outside of Bartlesville)

    Note: Moving off campus may cause changes to your OKWU scholarships. Please check with Financial Aid before filling out the off campus form.

  • Based on our criteria, you are eligible to live off-campus. If you intend to live off-campus, you will need to complete the following Off-Campus Housing Form. This does not guarantee that you will be granted off-campus housing.

  • Oklahoma Wesleyan University is a residential campus.  All unmarried students enrolled for twelve (12) or more hours of academic credit are expected to live in on-campus housing.  Students who are married, living with parents, 22 years of age or of senior status (90 credit hours or more) may apply to live off-campusThe Office of Residential Life will review completed applications and only those approved may live off-campus. Students who do not receive written approval from the Office of Residential Life will be assigned a room and charged for on-campus housing.  Housing charges will remain on the student’s account until the student has been approved to live off-campus.

    All students who apply and are approved for off campus are expected to adhere to all handbook rules including but not limited to the following:
    • Off campus students will not partake in or be in the presence of alcohol, drugs, or tobacco. 
    • Off campus students are expected to make housing arrangements with individuals of the same gender if they are not a direct family member or part of the host family. 
    • Off campus students are expected to refrain from sexual relationships that are outside the context of a heterosexual, monogamous marriage. 
    • For further expectations, refer to the student conduct section of the student handbook.
